Becoming a veterinarian was always the dream of Dr. Jonathan Heintz. He practically grew up in a veterinary hospital as his father, Dr. Jim Heintz, was an owner of Lakeview Veterinary Hospital for over 35 years. A 2008 graduate of Tuskeegee University, Dr. Heintz was awarded the Robert Horne Award for proficiency in Surgery. Dr. Heintz has also worked at several urban emergency clinics, as well as, relief work in general small animal practices in the area. He is a member of both the state and national veterinary medical associations. Dr. Heintz is married to his high school sweetheart and they have three beautiful children, two sons and a daughter. He currently has an 18 year old dog Chester, and two lovely rescue puppies.
Dr. Angelette graduated from Louisiana State University’s School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002, and joined our Dutchtown family in October, 2014. Originally from Slidell, Louisiana, she now lives in Geismar with her husband Drew, their two sons, Andrew and Conner, and daughter, Aurelia Nicole. When she isn’t at Dutchtown Animal Hospital taking care of your pets, Dr. Angelette enjoys scuba diving, quilting, gardening and watching LSU football. We are excited to have her as a part of our team.
Dr. Rosen is a 2024 graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary medicine. Originally from Thousand Oaks California, she completed her undergraduate studies in Biomedical Sciences at Colorado State University. She then traveled to the sunny island of St. Kitts to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian. After completing her clinical year at Louisiana State University, and an externship at Dutchtown Animal Hospital, she fell in love with Louisiana and all it has to offer. Dr. Rosen now resides in the Baton Rouge area with her partner Landon, and their 3 cats--Stella, Alfie, and Percy. Dr. Rosen has special interests in preventative medicine, dermatology, surgery, and small mammal exotics. She enjoys gardening, crocheting, and swimming in her free time.
